Gorilla Muffins

Perfect for a lazy weekend morning or a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients:

1 package of biscuit dough, 8 count

6 pieces of cooked bacon-chopped into small pieces

3-4 green onions, white and pale green parts only-minced

2 tbsp. butter, melted

3/4 tsp. onion powder

1/4 tsp. season salt

1/4 tsp. black pepper

1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (about two good handfuls)-Gouda or a quality Cheddar (not just an orange 3rd cousin of Cheddar)

Directions

  1. Grease a standard 12 cup muffin tin and set aside. Then heat the oven to 350.

  2. Chop the biscuits into six pieces and put in a large bowl.

  3. Add all the other ingredients and mix well. Make sure to break apart the biscuit pieces so they can all get coated.

  4. Get your muffin tin and put four pieces of biscuit mixture in each cup. Make sure to grab the cheese mixture along with the pieces so all that tast goodness bakes around and in, not just on top.

  5. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes and get a soft golden brown.

  6. Enjoy!
